THURSDAY, MARCH 19, 1964:

CONCHITA'S LOCUTION CONCERNING
JOEY LOMANGINO'S HEALING OF THE
VERY FUTURE "D" DAY.

The bond that unites Joey Lomangino, born in 1931, to Garabandal is absolutely amazing and long-standing. It goes back to the first months following his accident (1947!). These were difficult months trying to adjust himself to his recent and total blindness. They led him to turn to God. He then received from On-High a first answer he was calling for in his distress. A voice woke him up from his sleep, telling him that he would recover his sight provided he first accomplish an authentic spiritual journey, the nature of which was explained to him.
In 1949, Joey was "visited" a second time, through the intermediary of a mysterious dream: he could see himself standing in a vast and luscious prairie, in the middle of which was an isolated clump of very green trees. This was to be the grove of the famous Pines of San Sebastian de Garabandal that were then mere bushes. At the same moment, Joey had the assurance that he would be able to overcome his suffering.
In addition to some two thousand conferences he gave on the subject, in the 1970's Joey founded the periodical "GARABANDAL Magazine" distributed throughout the world. In the same period, he created "The Workers of Our Lady of Mount Carmel," a charitable association for the diffusion of the Message. . . So many activities that the American blind man directs at the same time as he fulfills his professional responsibilities as a business man (he would renounce them in 1998), J. Lomangino being then the manager of the most important enterprise of sewer treatment in the North-Eastern part of the United States (New York region).
On this 19th of March, 1964, Feast of St. Joseph, Conchita, praying at the Pines, learned in a locution from the Blessed Virgin that her friend "will again see with his own eyes on the day when the Miracle will be performed for the world. The first thing he will see will be the Miracle that my Son will do through my intercession and, from that moment on, he will see permanently."
On the same day, Conchita wrote the news to Joey who had left the village on the previous day to return to the United States!
[From 'Garabandal' Book, pages 180-181]

Now you see why spreading the story of the apparitions is so important! Joey is 79 years old and time is running out! In order for Joey to see with his new eyes and use those eyes for the glory of God, the Miracle has to happen real soon. And before the Miracle, the Warning! Everything is so close. But all we have to do is watch the News and you know in your heart that the world needs a conversion experience real soon. There are just too many murders and wars going on, and even in our beloved Church there is turmoil, possible even a schism coming soon. We need God to straighten this world out. We need Divine Mercy in our souls!

As I told you before I worked with Joey Lomangino back in the 1970's helping to spread the Message of Garabandal. While Joey told his story about Padre Pio and about the Events of Garabandal, I ran a slide projector showing pictures of the story. I also ran a movie projector and showed the Dick Everson Garabandal Documentary to the people at the conference. I can testify to his complete blindness and his hope of seeing again! I always pray for him and the seers too, and also for God to send the Warning, Miracle and great Sign, so that the world will be converted and God's Kingdom of the Divine Will will reign! How about you?
Blessing to all+

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20, 1962: CONTINUED . . .

"THERE EXIST INTELLIGENT BEINGS
ELSEWHERE THAN ON THE EARTH" . . .

"Intelligent (rational) beings in outer space . . ."

As an echo, in some way, of the lively discussion going on in the world at the time, Mercedes Salisachs, a remarkable witness, present these days at Garabandal, had Conchita ask the Blessed Virgin if there were intelligent beings in outer or interstellar space. - "Yes", was the stunning answer!
Days after, Conchita, again in ecstasy, was heard asking her Vision if these mysterious beings are like us, sinners? - "They are like men, tainted alike by sin, but also redeemed by Christ just like men," was the new astonishing answer!
These new revelations made to Conchita were to appear so exceptional to Fr. Lucio Rodrigo, S.J., when he learned about them, that, after an uneasy first impression, and then, after reflection, he went out to write that "it would well be that the Blessed Virgin, and through Her, Our Lord, were lifting the veil of a mystery which broadens in that way the dimensions of the Kingdom of Our Lord (and of the Most Blessed Virgin), so to include other rational creatures, which could, of course, not be angels (. . .)". (Letter, October 22, 1965, to the Marques de Santa Maria). True, the above revelations of this December 20, 1962, should they be confirmed by existing new documents not yet available to us, and also by Conchita herself, they would take us to give a new look at the absolute universality of Christ's redemption, but also to His unfathomable supremacy recapitulating all created realities, visible and invisible, even the mysterious Cosmic powers. So, couldn't we at least presume that the above-reported revelations were simply recalling, if also "confirming" a true kerygmatic truth, an article of the Church early Creed? Future and larger works on Garabandal, based on numerous authentic original sources, should present it all in a much more detailed way. As for the Scriptural foundation (mainly 1 Cor, Rom, Col, Eph, and Peter I and II), we can do no better for the time being than to indicate among the numerous exegetical works bearing on this still mysterious aspect of Christian faith, the major study of M. Combe, "Puissances celestes" ("Cosmic Powers,") in the Dictionnaire de la Bible-Supplement--DBS--vol. 9, col 336-381.
[From 'Garabandal' Book, pages 160-161]

You don't know how hard it was for me to type this excerpt from the 'Garabandal' Book! All my life I have denied and not believed in any other life in this universe except for us human beings! Yes, even though I'm a avid Sci Fi fan and love watching the fantasies about aliens and weird creatures. Is God trying to tell me I am wrong? Is He telling me to shut up, that I don't know everything?

He's right, of course, I really don't know anything other than what I have been taught. But one thing I do know is that when I get to Heaven, I will find the answers to all these mysteries! Do you want to start a discussion on whether their is "life out there"? What do you think?

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20, 1962:

Pope Benedict XVI

TWO EXTRAORDINARY PROPHETIC
REVELATIONS: "ONLY THREE POPES
AFTER JOHN XXIII, THEN NO MORE" -

"The Last three Popes"
Large snowflakes were falling in the early morning of December 20, 1962, when the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel, during an apparition of ninety minutes, revealed to Conchita that "after Pope John (XXIII), there will come three other Popes and after . . . there will be no more. No, four, for one of them would not really count, the Blessed Virgin told me!" For several years, Conchita kept secret this prophetic allusion to the rule of an illegitimate and false-pope, or of an anti-pope. She confided it only in 1965, to Albrecht Weber, to whom she also told that, at the same apparition (December 20, 1962), the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel revealed to her that "one of the three (legitimate Popes yet to come after John XXIII, would have a very short Pontificate." John Paul I undoubtedly! It was also explained on that Thursday to the visionary, that "after the last Pope will come the end of the times, which is not the end of the world." These formidable revelations would again be the main item on the agenda, on June 3, 1963, the very day Pope John XXIII died!
[From 'Garabandal' Book, page 160]

The mystery deepens and the prophecies are getting harder to understand! Does this one about the Popes shake you up? Only time will tell what it all means. We certainly went through 3 Popes after John XXIII; Paul VI, John Paul I, and John Paul II. Now we are in the reign of Benedict XVI.
Well, actually there was a man in Spain who claimed to be the Pope, and that all the others were false. Here's a newsclip about him:

"The media overlooked the passing on March 22, 2005 of the Pope Gregory XVII - the first "antipope" since Renaissance times - at his see in southern Spain. This controversial character presided over a thriving orthodox catholic church (for want of a better term) that embraced the pre-Vatican II Tridentine Mass and other ceremonies and beliefs done away with by that assembly of prelates in the 1960s. With millions of dollars in his treasury, a monumental basilica and bishops all over Spain and even in the United States, Gregory XVII had excommunicated John Paul II early on, accusing the Bishop of Rome of being the true "antipope" (one of the first items of business for the Council of El Palmar, held in October 1980).
Before stepping into his papal slippers, Gregory XVII had been Clemente Domínguez, better known in the media as "el papa Clemente", eternally linked to the alleged apparitions of the Blessed Virgin at El Palmar de Troya in the community of Utrera (Seville)."

***************************************************************************

So we had the three Popes and now what? I believe that during the reign of Benedict XVI we will see the climax of the Garabandal prophecies and that will be "the end of the times" as Our Lady said, and the beginning of the new Era for mankind, a time of peace and brotherhood, that was promised by Our Lady at Fatima!!! Are you ready for all this? It's gonna be a whirlpool of spectacular events, so hold on to your hat!!!

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 6, TO SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9, 1962:

Conchita with her own doll

NEW CIRCUMSTANCES OF
THE FUTURE "D" DAY

Conchita learned on this day that an almost generalized disaffection for Garabandal would come only one week before "D" day, in other words, as early as the day following the announcement that she would make. There will be few people at the village to attend the great Miracle on site. Nevertheless, it will be seen on television, could be filmed, etc.
The visionary declared on the other hand, that, as the future great events will draw near "presumed and false manifestations of the Blessed Virgin will increase considerably." She also predicted, the same day, "the disappearance, on the day of the Miracle, of the Note Dr. Pinal had forced her to sign, in Santander, which Note was saying that the apparitions of San Sebastian de Garabandal were frauds, and that herself was mad!"

Mari-Loli and Conchita Fernandez also revealed, on December 8, to Paloma Pacheco Larrauri, another important witness, present during these days with her husband, that "you will have a son for the day of the Miracle!" The sterility of the couple, source of a long separation of the two, is a trial that will come to an end in a prodigious and miraculous way. Paloma, born in 1931, will be at least 70 years old when the prophesy will be fulfilled!
[From 'Garabandal' Book, page 160]

Well, now we get to hear some controversial prophecies! This last one is strange indeed. If Paloma was born in 1931, she would be 79 years old now, if she's still living. Like some other prophecies, a supernatural answer to this question could be the answer. Maybe she had a mis-carriage and doesn't know it. She could have a son in heaven! This has happened to many women. My wife had two still-borns. I baptized them at home. I know for sure they are in heaven and I will meet them one day.

Yes, the devil loves to trick people with false apparitions. He could be doing that right now around the world with all the reported sightings of Jesus and Mary, weeping icons and statues, pictures in the clouds and on walls, windows, and even toast! The Vatican warned about a certain woman who claims to receive "Messages" from Jesus and she writes them down as if her hand is guided supernaturally. Maybe everybody will be so fed up with all these reported sightings that they will stop believing in Conchita's announcement of the Miracle.

I found out long ago to never say "Never!" So I won't say I will "never" stop believing in Garabandal, I know I believe firmly right now. St. Peter said he would "never" deny Our Lord, but we all know what happened when Jesus was arrested and was suffering his sacred Passion. St. Peter said, "I don't know the man!" And he suffered greatly for that denial . . . Let us persevere!!!

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 1962:

TOWARD THE "SECOND ECUMENICAL VATICAN COUNCIL"

For several days already, Conchita had been heard exchanging statements with her Vision about the Council. This Council was to open two weeks later.
On the morning of this 26th of September, don Lavaca, a Basque priest who happened to be there, recorded the exceptional words of Conchita during her ecstasy, among them: "The Council is the greatest of all! . . . It will be a success! . . . How good this is! . . . Thus you (the Virgin Mary) will be better known, and you will be very happy . . ." Shortly after, and later on several occasions, Conchita was to affirm, very firmly, that Our Lady had assured her of "the extraordinary success of the Council." And, in fact, not only for its doctrinal content and as a very great historical and ecclesiastical event, but also for the countless and very important later authoritative applications of all its exceptionally enlightened and profound Teachings.
[From 'Garabandal' Book, page 150]

Some "Catholics" don't believe the Second Vatican Council was a success! They want to return to the days before the Council. Others have taken the Council's Teachings and twisted them to their own agendas, such as throwing out all our sacred devotions like Benediction, Adoration, Holy Hours, stripping the churches of statues and icons; etc., etc.

I have read the documents of Vatican II and I can tell you that they are marvelous! When you read the text, you can almost feel the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart! Believe me, the basics of our Faith have not changed. It is all in there, in those powerful documents! And they never asked for our churches to be stripped or modernized. They never asked for the sacrileges, the blasphemies, the watered down Liturgies; the celebrants not following the rubrics according to the Vatican; they never asked for the True Presence of Jesus in the tabernacle to be removed from the sanctuary. I could go on and on, but there is a reform of the reform coming! Thank God!

If you want to see what the true Vatican II texts taught, watch EWTN and their Liturgies. At least there you will find peace of soul in worshiping Almighty God in the correct way!

One more thing, I would not be an ordained Permanent Deacon if there was no Vatican II. I am a product of it! Thank you Blessed John XXIII; Thank you, Pope Paul VI . . .
God Bless us all+

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 1962:

Mari-Cruz

MARI-CRUZ STOPS SEEING THE
BLESSED VIRGIN OF MOUNT CARMEL

Of the four visionaries, Mari-Cruz was the least favored with ecstasies. They stopped completely for her on this September 12, 1962 (the very day of the Feast of the Holy Name of Mary). She would suffer a great deal from this . . . to such an extent that she would come to deny that she had ever seen anything supernatural at San Sebastian de Garabandal.

The most probable explanations of the "Mari-Cruz enigma" undoubtedly resides in the opposition of her parents who, more or less, 'disapproved' of these phenomena from the very beginning. At Garabandal, the Blessed Virgin always had respect for the authority of the parents.
(Mari-Cruz became a simple mournful observer of her companions in ecstasy. Conchita liked her very much and said that she was the kindest of the four visionaries, and that her doubts would be dispelled after the Aviso and the great Miracle.)
[From 'Garabandal' Book, page 149]

Oh, to be left out! Imagine what that was like. Did it ever happen to you, that some of your friends did something together, and left you out? It's happened to me, and is still happening. I feel just like Mari-Cruz cause I can't join in and do what I love to do! I know one thing, it's a great offering of suffering for the offenses committed against the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart! Amen.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 1962:

Conchita in ecstasy at the Pines.

ABOUT THE FUTURE MIRACLE

Conchita insistently questioned her Vision about the future great Miracle to come, of which she knew since October 18, 1961: ". . . Yes, you had said that you would perform a Miracle . . . and that it would consist in what? . . . Will the Blessed Virgin be seen? And when? . . . So soon? . . . With me alone, no! I don't want it so . . . Do not do that! Do it with the four of us! . . ."

The great Miracle will come about through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel, but, on a certain level, Conchita, so she was also told, would be personally involved in obtaining it from God.
[Excerpt from 'Garabandal' Book, page 147]

The future great Miracle will finalize the Garabandal Events and prove their reality. Those who go to Garabandal in person to witness it (an act of faith) will be cured of whatever ailment they have; the cure is unconditional, Our Lady said "All will be cured!" So if you have some terminal disease and want to be healed, go there for the Miracle. It will be announced 8 days in advance by Conchita and it will happen within a year after the Warning. Dr. Rosalie Turton from the 101 Foundation has planes reserved for the flight to Garabandal. You can register at this web address: http://www.101foundation.com/pilgrimage/Garabandal.html Have you got your bag packed? Of course, it would take another miracle for me to get my wife Marianne, who has end stage kidney failure, there for the Great Miracle. Right now, we have no money to buy a plane ticket but if Our Lady wants us to be there, she will provide the way! Either way, I certainly will celebrate this supernatural Event from God. Years ago, when I was a young man, I gave up drinking any alcohol including beer. But I did make this vow: That on the day of the Great Miracle, I would celebrate by having a glass of beer! I'm looking forward to that! :-)

Medal of the Immaculate Conception (aka Miracu...Image via Wikipedia

A MOST SIGNIFICANT MARIAN INVOCATION

On this Feast, then, of the Ascension of the Lord, but also of Mary as Queen, the visionaries altered the traditional Santanderinian invocation of "Our Lady Truly Appeared ("Bien aparecida"), Queen and Mother of the Mountain."Instead they addressed her as "Our Lady Truly Appeared, Queen and Sovereign of Everything Created, pray for us." This invocation, celebrating Mary's unparalleled participation in the Kingship of her Son, was in fact the perfect echo of the patristic thought, that had already (1954) allowed Pope Pius XII to attribute this new title to the Blessed Virgin (Encyclical Letter 1955'Ad Coeli Reginam'), the successor of St. Peter relying abundantly on the very rich doctrine ad hoc contained in the Divine Revelation (Holy Scriptures and Apostolic Tradition).
[F
rom 'Garabandal' Book, page 133]
Pope Pius XII was a great Marian Pope and had great devotion to Our Lady of Fatima! As a matter of fact, he saw the Miracle of the spinning sun, which happened on October 13, 1917, many years later in the papal gardens, while he was praying. He also consecrated the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I believe he will be canonized soon as a Saint!

Our Lady has so many titles! This is a new one for me: "OUR LADY TRULY APPEARED, QUEEN AND SOVEREIGN OF EVERYTHING CREATED! It makes sense, when you look at the Miraculous Medal and see the two Hearts of Jesus and Mary joined together! If Jesus , God and Creator, is our King, Mother Mary has to be Our Queen, and her Queenship extends throughout the universe! Amen to that!

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 1961:

Conchita, Jacinta and Loli as they normally were.
ANOTHER RARE DAY WITHOUT ANY ECSTASY

Msgr. Doroteo Fernandez, Apostolic Administrator of Santander, publishes his second Note. It takes into account the brief 'report' submitted by the "Special Commission," but also the more favorable considerations expressed by Father Ramon Andreu, by pastor Valentin Marichalar and by Reverend Garcia de la Riva.

\Msgr. Doroteo Fernandez (March 1913 - July 1989) was ordained to the priesthood on March 13, 1937. At the death of Msgr. Jose Eugenio Y Trecu, in May 1961, he became Apostolic Administrator of the diocese of Santander, but he did not succeed him as titular Bishop. All through his mandate, Msgr. Doroteo acted very fairly, on the pastoral level, towards the protagonists and the "events" of Garabandal. He always accepted the opinions of the witnesses in a spirit of true openness . . . in spite of numerous oppositions.
[From 'Garabandal' Book, page 115]

How time flies! The Msgr. was ordained one day after I was born (March 12, 1937) in New York City! He lived 76 years. I wonder if I'll live that long? Gets a person thinking, yes?

I'm going to try to speed these notes up a little by posting every other day if I can. The reason? Cause things are getting hot in this world of ours (they just moved the Dooms Day clock forward), and the Warning is supposed to happen when things look hopeless! This way we believers can at least know what and why things are happening around us and we can help our family and friends to understand too! Stay tuned . . .

THURSDAY, AUGUST 3, 1961

NEW ECSTATIC PHENOMENA

The swaying movements began on the 31st of July. They were to be the prelude of yet more striking manifestations: the ecstatic falls, a kind of slow and graceful collapse of the children until they were stretched out on the ground.
These falls occurred quite frequently. Every time they happened, the girls drew attention by their beauty, their grace and the modesty of their attitudes and expressions.
Spectators could not help but be inclined to admire and respect them. The visionaries were always dressed in a most decent way, their clothes covering them sometimes even in a sliding movement opposite to the natural direction of the fall.
Mari-Loli and Jacinta were the first to "inaugurate" this phenomenon; they would remain stretched out some ten minutes in this astonishing position.
Brigadier Secco heard Mari-Loli asking her Vision: "If you don't help me, I could not get up." Then she was seen extending her arm, and as if raised by a mysterious force, "she slowly rose to a sitting position."
[Excerpted from 'Garabandal' Book, pages 75-77.]

Again, I've seen pictures and movies showing these falls and how the girls were piled up like sculptured forms, always dressed modestly and proper! God loves the virtues of purity and modesty, so Our Lady always glorified Him by helping the girls with these virtues. We should be so lucky! How many times have I seen men & women dressed indecently in church, and no one saying a word to them about proper attire in church. Sometimes it's the parents who bring their children scantly clad to Mass or even religious education. I pray for these people, so that they will realize the scandal they are causing. Please, dear Lord, may they wear their bathing suits, halters, topless gowns, see through clothes and short-shorts at the beach, instead of your Holy House!

THURSDAY, JULY 27, 1961:

Santander Cathedral

CONCHITA IS STRONGLY REQUESTED
TO GO TO SANTANDER. FIRST MENTION
OF THE FUTURE DOUBTS AND DENIALS

Conchita left for Santander with her mother, Aniceta, and her aunt and godmother, Maximina. The pretext was to change her ideas and have a simple interview with Msgr. Fernandez. This trip was to last one week. Plotted by Don Luis Odriozola and by one of Conchita's uncles, curate of the parish of the Consolacion at Santander, this stay was really to draw the visionary away from the main site that already stood out in the Garabandal "events."

The priests and physicians, members of the "Special Commission" questioned the visionary every day at Santander. Verbally jostled about, even threatened to be sent to "a house for the mentally ill," she was forbidden to receive Communion, to go to confession and to attend Mass. Instead, she was taken to the beach and the movies. They were hoping to dissuade her from returning to her village.
Doctor Pinal tried to hypnotize Conchita to "find out the magic fluid from which she held her power of suggestion over her little playmates," 'concluding' that this was coming . . . from her braids! The girl ended up by "acknowledging" that she had not seen the Blessed Virgin, but she did not swear not having seen her.
On the day of her arrival, Conchita fell into an ecstasy right in the middle of the street in front of the church of the Consolacion. At the same time, at the Pines, the three other visionaries also had an apparition of the Blessed Virgin. This was Conchita's only ecstasy in the capital of the Cantabrian region.
In an interior locution, Conchita learned, in these doubly significant circumstances, that "there would come a time when she and her companions would deny their apparitions and doubt everything." When she returned to Garabandal, she confided this news to her mother and her aunt.
Aniceta, a widow since many years and head of the family, watched over her children carefully. She asked for several signs to confirm the authenticity of the phenomena. she obtained them and had no longer any doubts. She died in 1990.
Maximina, Conchita's first confidante, always supported her godchild and never doubted the supernatural origin of the apparitions. She is one of the best "reporters" of these events.
[Excerpted from 'Garabandal' Book, pages 69, 70.]

The parallel to Fatima is unbelievable. There, the local administrator "arrested" the three tiny children, put them in jail with the regular criminals, and even threatened them with death by being boiled in oil! But the big difference was that the three children of Fatima did not deny the apparitions and refused to tell the authorities the "Secret." That had to be a supernatural "grace" because even adults tell everything and agree to anything under that type of pressure.

Poor Conchita was all alone, bombarded by the Commissions questions and examinations, aged intellectual men against a young farm girl with no education . . . I wonder if they even believed in the supernatural at all? The blind will lead the blind . . . Of course, all this happened at the beginning of the "events of Garabandal", so there is no denying the supernatural in the thousands of apparitions and signs yet to come. "Everything is possible for him who believes."(Mark 9:23) And as the old saying goes: "For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don't believe, no proof is possible." (Bishop Sheen?)
