Fr. Ramon Andreu's Notes: Part Three, Post 76

(Dr.) C. Ortiz Perez

(letter) February 26, 1962

When I went up the last time, Jacinta told me that she would not see the Virgin again until February 18th, and that is what happened. From this date on, she had an ecstasy every day. She has said that the Virgin announced to Mari Cruz and her that after the 26th, they would only see her on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the Cuadro, where she appeared for the first time.

What a strange sickness—to announce this days or months ahead of time. The cerebral disorders of all of the girls present themselves with the following symptoms at a young age: permanent asthma, sleep disturbances, aggressiveness, and irrational and incontrollable anxiety. After 8 consecutive months, they don’t have only these symptoms but also the opposite. I find them happy, and their parents tell me that they sleep soundly. They say that they have sweet characters, and that they continue to be obedient and submissive to their elders. In my estimation, they continue to be as normal as always.

May 1st 2014 New York Garabandal Center Update

The Workers of Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Garabandal
May 1, 2014 To the Ends of the Earth
Dear Friends,
Today marks one year since the launch of the redesigned www.garabandal.us, the official website for the Workers of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in New York.
In that year, we have welcomed over 40,000 unique visitors from about 150 countries. Views on our YouTube channel Message of Garabandal continue to accumulate and now exceed 50,000 for the online documentaries. With God’s blessing and your help much has been accomplished in the past year towards the furtherance of the global promotion of the Message of Garabandal.
Many years ago, we used to keep a large wall map at the Center with colored pushpins marking the advance of the Message; each envelope opened from a new location would be matched with a pushpin on the map marking the boundaries of our promotion.
Today, Google provides us with the digital version. When a visitor comes to the site, their country on the world map turns blue. It is a wonder and a consolation for us to see the countries and cities light up for Garabandal.
We are astonished by the extremities the Message has reached, the very ends of the earth. From Dunedin on the South Island of New Zealand to the mines of Norilsk in northern Russia, across the continents to Cape Town, South Africa, north over the Mediterranean and Baltic as far as Tromso and Porsanger in Norway, south across the Atlantic to Rio Gallegos in Argentina, north to the frozen outposts near the roof of the world, Igloolik and Yellowknife in Canada and Fairbanks, Alaska on to Hawaii and Fiji with many points in between in a given day, every day without stopping, one day into the next.
We are grateful to Our Lady of Mount Carmel and to Saint Michael the Archangel for obtaining for us the grace to persevere in this holy work and permitting us, after many years sowing, the reward of seeing this abundant harvest rising in real time.
Since we wrote to you last July, we have also said many goodbyes.
In November, Conchita’s husband, Patrick Keena, passed away from cancer. The small church of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal was filled to capacity; the pews and even the choir loft taken by rows of religious and also by many young families. Of the seven priests, the presider from his place before the alter told the congregation he believed Patrick to be a saint. The funeral mass was a joyful requiem for this humble man, a faithful father and husband, a good friend, a gentle patriarch – at the threshold of paradise.
In February, Rachael and Silvio Leonti retired as coordinators of the New York Center. They have been associated with the work of Our Lady of Mount Carmel since the late seventies when Rachael was relieved of debilitating back pain upon venerating Our Lady’s kissed medal.
The last few years have been very difficult for them, now both well into their eighties, and this last hard winter laid the final straw. They have departed for the warmer climate and to the care of their children. We are profoundly grateful for their friendship and for four decades of selfless labor and devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Recently we completed the total distribution of our entire inventory of materials. With the success of the Internet promotion the time has come to wind this facet of the work down. Found in one of the final outgoing batches – the Chaplet of Saint Michael bound for Russia. This was a good way to end our forty five year campaign to promote the Message of Garabandal through the mail.
Remember that during the locution of December 8, 1964, Our Lord spoke to Conchita concerning the conversion of Russia and the Great Miracle saying, “She will also be converted and thus all will love Our Hearts.” These words come back to us as we watch the changing times.
In the past, we have accepted donations to defray the cost of shipping gratis materials around the world. With the closing of the inventory, we will no longer need this assistance and cannot accept it in the future. Thank you for so many years of faithful support.
One last farewell – Many will remember the little yellow house in Lindenhurst which for thirty five years was the very center of the global promotion of the Message of Garabandal. Since 2002, we have used this house mainly for storage – inventory and documents – but the incursions of Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy have left the facility unsuitable for this purpose and it has been sold.
The 1963-64 Anniversary marks a personal half century commitment to Garabandal for Joey Lomangino.
Joey is alive and well, although now stripped of his once extraordinary stamina and memory. Nearly eighty-four, he is no longer able to meet the public but continues to hold fast to the promise of the Great Miracle and his new eyes given for God’s glory. He accepts God’s holy will for his life and passes his time in expiation and quiet prayer. He remembers you and all the Workers in his daily rosaries.
From time to time, rumors may surface about Joey – his health or even his untimely demise. We ask everyone not to become concerned unless we confirm it in writing by an email to our subscriber list sent directly from the official address for the Workers of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in New York -workers@garabandal.us.
Joey is irreplaceable, our founder and the driving force of this organization. Without him, we could not carry on in good faith and the work would, of necessity, pass to others.
We remain guided by Joey’s directive that the Message of Garabandal be made available gratis to anybody in the world who wishes to know it via the Internet.
Joey believes Garabandal belongs to the entire Church and we must begin to prepare for that singular day when all eyes are opened and our unique mission, which is to advance the Message of Garabandal in these final days before the Great Events, is concluded.
We will keep this email connection open and will use this channel to relay Conchita’s Eight Day Announcement of the Great Miracle.
We look forward to celebrating the final year of the Golden Anniversary in 2015.
Remember, every day, the Morning Offering of Reparation, Mass and Communion, the Rosary, the Scapular and Devotion to Saint Michael.
Please continue to pray and promote.
Live the Message of Garabandal.
In Union of Prayer,

The Prophecy about the Garabandal Paralytic Boy

The Prophecy about the Garabandal Paralytic Boy - garabandalnews.overblog.com

The Prophecy about the Garabandal Paralytic Boy

The Prophecy about the Garabandal Paralytic Boy

I
have been contacted by many of you regarding a Prophecy from Conchita
written in a book about Gararabandal years ago and you make me crazy
with a Prophecy regarding a Paralytic Boy called Daniel Fernandez who
should be healed for the Great Miracle day, some "enemy" of our Lady of
Garabandal have used a rumor confirming that this Paralytic Boy is
already dead which could confirms that Garabandal was false because this
prophecy with some other rumors failed.

Last year when I was in
Garabandal, I question my good friends from the village, most have never
heard about this rumor and the other did not wanted to answer me then I
concluded myself that it was another rumor only and I quickly forgot
this story as for us Garabandalist, rumors, charges,
slanders....etc...against Garabandal or against us directly are a part
of our Life and thanks God.

Well, Today and from Garabandal
directly, I can confirm that I have been able to get finally the truth
about this Prophecy and the Paralytic Boy from one of my good contact in
the village who asked me to not give his name online to respect the
Fernandez Family to whom he is close, he show me their house (the white
house, attached picture) but I have not been allowed to take a full
picture, a part only, again to respect the wish of the Fernandez Family.

So,
I can confirm that the Prophecy from Conchita was true, the name of
this Boy who is now a Man of a certain age is Daniel Fernandez, son of
Augusto Fernandez as confirmed in the book, Daniel is in LIFE, still
paralyzed and moving with 2 rods, he was in Garabandal few months ago
only, he is living in Santander, his Brother and his Father are with God
now, the bad rumor came from the Death of his Brother and has been
spread around the world by some, they surely thought it was Daniel
without even checking as for most of them they surely never been in the
village, shame on them, please Pray for the Fernandez Family as well,
thank you.

The Garabandal Pines Protected

From:

The Garabandal Pines Protected - garabandalnews.overblog.com

The Garabandal Pines Protected

The Garabandal Pines Protected

I am currently in
Garabandal, I have been suprised to see today the Garabandal Pines
protected by a wooden fence on hundred meters all around the Pines, all
trees close to the Pines have been cut and the vegetation burned leaving
around the Pines an empty space that could accommodate if necessary
thousands of people.

I asked for the reason, the official
explanation is to protect the Pines against any animals (cow, sheep and
horses mainly) who could destroy this Holy place where the Garabandal
Great Miracle will take place, to my question as I was last summer
during the month of August in Garabandal for my wedding and no one from
the village told me about these new works so my question was why now ?
the answer was : who knows the plans of God and everyone is free to
interpret it as he wants, in fact a typical response from Garabandal and
I am used to.

My Comment : There were animals, cows,
horses, sheep...etc....around and at the pines since years and years and
from the beginning, protect the Pines against any destruction from
animals could be a good reason and they could do it already years before
but cutting trees and burning vegetation all around the Pines for no
reason is in my opinion surprising as it was much more beautifull
before, today the Pines looks alone like ready to be watched by many and
from far, protected by a wooden fence with 2 entrances only, a surprise
to me as I was used to be aware of any news from Garabandal quite
quickly so this decision to built this wooden fence around the Pines was
surely taken recently only, at least that is my opinion.

Fr. Ramon Andreu's Notes: Part Three, Post 75

"Father Ramón was my spiritual director here in California since 1977. For me, he was very special because he knew me since I was 12 years old. He always gave me excellent advice which I hope to always follow. I'm going to miss him a lot. Yet, like he said: "Trust in Divine Providence always." I feel that he will continue to guide me from Heaven."
- Jacinta Gonzalez Moynihan

(Letter) February 24, 1962

“Mari Loli was in ecstasy and she gave (I don’t know if it was Jacinta, Mari Cruz, or Conchita) a camera to Mari Loli to take pictures saying: “Take a picture of the Virgin”—Mari Loli took the camera and (I don’t believe there is anything on the photograph) as though she knew where the Vision was, she focused and took the picture. When the film was developed, this photo seemed shadowy but according to a girl who witnessed it, the description of the photo is the following:
(Eduardo) Marqués de Santa María

It seemed cloudy, as though it was shadowy, but I saw a clear silhouette of the Virgin—we could see her entire figure: she had her hands together and towards one side. There are two proofs: Conchita has one and Mari Loli has the other. This girl (who saw two) says that the figure is clearer in Mari Loli’s copy (Conchita’s is a copy with less contrast). The girl repeats that the image of the Virgin is not a fantasy, and it is unmistakable. The owner of the camera, according to what they told her, was a priest.

Fr. Ramon Andreu's Notes: Part Three, Post 74

(Extract) Segovia February 20, 1962

My Reverend Father:
“They arrived at Garabandal after a painful ascent—the mud was knee-deep. They were tired from the trip, and the things they had to carry. After one at night they put blankets over the ground and stayed there quietly so they wouldn’t wake the people who were sleeping. The people realized this, and with great charity, they opened the doors of their houses and offered all that they had. They admired the virtue these people had, their charity, purity, and simplicity that they had not seen anywhere before. It made sense to them that a village so pure of soul would be the site where the Virgin would appear, and as they said “they are brothers of body and soul; we have never seen such men or such saints.’

Fr. Ramon Andreu's Notes: Part Three, Post 73

Extract of a letter to Fr. Ramón from the Marquis

Madrid, February 18, 1962

Daughter of Mr. Antonio Soldevilla Gredilla:
After lunch and strengthened by your face, Rosario and I went to the street called José de Hierro, which is situated at the end of the Barrio de la Concepción. It is a new house, modest, with a 3rd floor and no elevator. A tall, thin, middle-aged woman responded to our call and at the question of whether she had a son who was very sick, she responded that her son had been near death.

Her story is the following:
Her son, who is now three and a half years old, and around the month of August was completely normal, very plump and healthy, and we all went to the pool; he was a completely normal child. One day he began to be paralyzed—his condition was worsening and after a few days he was like wood; he couldn’t move and he was completely blind: it was a picture of horror. They treated him and performed tests at the Clinic of Conception. A doctor saw him and decided to operate. The child was transported to the clinic and prepared for surgery—his head was even shaved for the operation. Dr. Obrador recognized the sick child, studied the electrograms, etc, and said that surgery could not do anything in his case. In view of this, the child was transported home once again, and Dr. Paniagua, Dr. Obrador’s assistant, continued to visit him. During the month of October, the child’s mother because to place medals around the child, among them was one of Our Lady of the Pilar. About a month later, one of her husband’s relatives (Señor Gredilla, a jeweler in Burgos) sent a medal, saying that it had been kissed by Our Lady of Garabandal. With extraordinary faith, the woman brought the medal to the child. A few days later, the child, who had been immobile, began to have convulsions, first in the legs, and later in the arms, tongue, etc. He began to open his little eyes and he felt better. Today, we have seen him and he is completely normal and absolutely healed. That is what has happened up until today when we visited. I have explained to the mother that we are bringing you this inquest and she is completely comfortable with this, and wants to verify all of the facts because she is the first one to be convinced that her son has been cured by a Miracle. She said: “I cried at the Clinic when the doctors didn’t want to believe that it was the same child. Even Dr. Paniagua told me—‘it seems to be a miracle.’”

The child is named Miguel and Rosario says that she has heard the girls pray for Miguel and that the Virgin said: “They will cure many children”—You remember hearing them say this. “Will you cure little Miguel?” Rosario says yes and that it is in one of the reports. It is possible that I will see the Matutanos tonight.”
