Ah, but does Pope Francis fit into the prophecies of Garabandal? What happened to the three (four) Popes to precede the Warning? Did Conchita mean or even understand what she said and predicted? My belief is not shaken by these events because as Our Lady said many times, events, even chastisements, can be shortened or avoided by our and Her prayers to Almighty God, who is in total control.!!! Fr. Ramon Andreu's Notes: Part Three, Post 28

1st—From 9P.M. to 8 A.M. last night they went in and out of ecstasy.

2nd—They called the Virgin "Mother."

3rd—"The miracle is so beautiful!" "When are you going to do it?" Do it soon for those who believe. It's all the same for those who don't believe."

4th—"A priest from the country? Oh, he isn't a priest and he comes as a country man?" (It was a Marist brother).

5th—"Mother, what do I have that's bad? Oh!" (And she went to her house to take off a bracelet).

6th—The report, 60 topics, etc.

7th—A man who wants to give a gift of a statue of St. Michael from Bilbao.

8th—General Director of Security. 4 watches.

9th—A Dominican was there.

Fr. Ramon Andreu's Notes: Part Three, Post 27

To Fr. Arama, by telephone—on a day in September 1961

1st — Small crucifix on a rosary, lost on August 15th and found on September 5th.

2nd—María Cruz is not called until Monday.

3rd—There will be a miracle, but we don't know what or when.

4th—Fr. Luís spoke. The rosary was sung through the houses.

5th—The seers act as mediators for others.

6th—There was a vision in the pines at 2:30.

7th —The girls' security.

8th—They play hide and go seek with the Virgin.

9th—The people present are persecuted. The Virgin told them: "You already see the laugh, they persecute the priests, making them fall."

10th —During the whole vision there was something religious.

11th —The Virgin has told them when they go to speak with Her that they should not wear rings or necklaces. As a result, Conchita took off her necklaces. If they have a ring in their hands or on their fingers that was given to them by another person, they throw it when they have the call.

12th—The Virgin does not want them to ask about certain things in the visions; they can only ask about things that have to do with spirituality.

13th—She asked if the American who lived in Madrid believed in God and she responded that yes, and in the Virgin? And she said "very little, but he will believe." (He was Protestant).

14th—A little known man who gave a crucifix through a third person had it returned directly to him with the girl's back to him.

15th—Luís told the girls that her niece was there and that Ramón had her seated on his knees and they had laughed a lot.

16th—In one of the visions they asked if she wanted to see their dolls and the vision said that "it wasn't the time for dolls."

17th—About twenty people were there when the seer began to make the sign of the cross in front of everyone and made it to the Andreu family, including Fr. Ramón; when this happened, we were surprised.

18th—An older man (Mayagray) knelt and asked for the conversion of his son-in-law. The girl came near him and said: "Yes."

19th—They told José Mari that he came from Caracas. (These things took place on September 4^th and 5^th).

20th—They bless everyone except for one who was the only one who had blessed himself in the morning. They asked and it was true.

21st—They visit the sick to give them the crucifix to kiss.

22nd—They pray the "Oh, My Jesus" and to the young children they pray the Salve.

Two Pillars & The New Helmsman

WE were driving over the frozen ice road on Lake Winnipeg yesterday when I glanced at my cellphone. The last message I received before our signal faded was “Habemus Papam!”

This morning, I have been able to find a local here on this remote Indian reserve who has a satellite connection—and with that, our first images of The New Helmsman. A faithful, humble, solid Argentinian.

A rock.

A few days ago, I was inspired to reflect on the dream of St. John Bosco in Living the Dream? sensing the anticipation that Heaven would grant the Church a helmsman who would continue to steer the Barque of Peter between the Two Pillars of Bosco’s dream.

The new Pope, putting the enemy to rout and overcoming every obstacle, guides the ship right up to the two columns and comes to rest between them; he makes it fast with a light chain that hangs from the bow to an anchor of the column on which stands the Host; and with another light chain which hangs from the stern, he fastens it at the opposite end to another anchor hanging from the column on which stands the Immaculate Virgin.—http://www.markmallett.com/blog/2009/01/pope-benedict-and-the-two-columns/

Indeed, Pope Francis is a man, like his predecessors, wholly dedicated to the Holy Eucharist and Mary. During the Synod of Bishops in 2005, he gave a reflection on the Blessed Sacrament and the Blessed Virgin Mary. In fact, he even quotes from the documents mentioned in Living the Dream? that John Paul II used to rudder the Church toward the Two Pillars.

Our faithful people believe in the Eucharist as a priestly people… Our faithful people believes
as a Eucharistic people in Mary. They tie together their affection for the Eucharist and their affection for the Virgin, our Lady and Mother. In the “school of Mary” (Rosarium Virginis Mariae, n. 1) Eucharistic woman, we can reread contemplatively the passages in which John Paul II sees our Lady as a Eucharistic woman, and see her not alone but “in the company of” (Acts 1:14) the People of God.

We follow here that rule of tradition by which, with different nuances, “what is said of Mary is said of the soul of every Christian and of the whole Church.”(Ecclesia de Eucharistia, 57). Our faithful people have the true “Eucharistic attitude” of giving thanks and of praise.

Remembering Mary, they are grateful for being remembered by her, and this memorial of love is truly Eucharistic. In this respect I repeat what John Paul II affirmed in Ecclesia de Eucharistia number 58: “TheEucharist has been given to us so that our life, like that of Mary, can become completely a Magnificat.” —Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio (POPE FRANCIS),www.catholiculture.org

THE NEW FACE OF CATHOLICISM

Furthermore, I read that our new pontiff is not just a Helmsman, but by his life, a true beacon and lighthouse in our materialist culture. His life of simplicity and poverty is a “sign of contradiction” piercing the fog of apostasy that threatens the very existence of the world.¹

This century thirsts for authenticity… The world expects from us simplicity of life, the spirit of prayer, obedience, humility, detachment and self-sacrifice…People listen more willingly to witnesses than to teachers, and when people do listen to teachers, it is because they are witnesses.—POPE PAUL VI, Evangelization in the Modern World,  22, 76, 41

Indeed, this is not only a sign of contradiction for the present, but for the future, as we call to mind the prescient words of Benedict XVI quoted here almost a year ago:²

The Church will become small and will have to start afresh more or less from the beginning. She will no longer be able to inhabit many of the edifices she built in prosperity. As the number of her adherents diminishes… She will lose many of her social privileges… As a small society, [the Church] will make much bigger demands on the initiative of her individual members.

It will be hard-going for the Church, for the process of crystallization and clarification will cost her much valuable energy. It will make her poor and cause her to become the Church of the meek… The process will be long and wearisome as was the road from the false progressivism on the eve of the French Revolution — when a bishop might be thought smart if he made fun of dogmas and even insinuated that the existence of God was by no means certain… But when the trial of this sifting is past, a great power will flow from a more spiritualized and simplified Church. Men in a totally planned world will find themselves unspeakably lonely. If they have completely lost sight of God, they will feel the whole horror of their poverty. Then they will discover the little flock of believers as something wholly new. They will discover it as a hope that is meant for them, an answer for which they have always been searching in secret.

And so it seems certain to me that the Church is facing very hard times. The real crisis has scarcely begun. We will have to count on terrific upheavals. But I am equally certain about what will remain at the end: not the Church of the political cult, which is dead already with Gobel, but the Church of faith. MARY AND JOSEPH: LOVING CONFIRMATIONS

Last night, we were able to learn, at the very least, that the new pope was an Argentinian. After my mission here to the natives, I went into the small side chapel and knelt in prayer and thanksgiving before the Blessed Sacrament. Sitting in the kneeler in front of me was a copy of Fr. Stefano Gobbi’s book The Marian Movement of Priests. I picked it up and prayed, “Well, dear Mother, do you have anything to say about this new pope?”

The number 567 popped into my head, and so I turned to it. It was a message given to Fr. Stefano in Argentina on the Feast of St. Joseph — the patron saint of the Church. Mary allegedly goes on to speak of St. Joseph as the Protector and Defender of theChurch in the tribulations and Storm that are here and coming.

With that, I sat back in my chair and marveled at the communion of saints, the Latin American Pope, the universality of the Church, the omnipotence of God, and the promise of Jesus: “I will build My Church.” Yes, it is Christ Himself who has hand-picked the 266th stone to be laid upon the foundation He himself has built. “Peter you are rock.”

May the harmful speculations and errant prophesies³ that have caused so much division among some of the faithful at last be set aside, and faith placed firmly again in Jesus and His Word—Christ, the wise builder, who never builds on sand.⁴

In a letter to his Carmelite Nuns regarding the attack on marriage in Argentina, Pope Francis’ words are a clear battle-cry and beacon in our times. God has given us a true shepherd, brothers and sisters… Be not afraid!

A clear rejection of the law of God, engraved in our hearts, is in jeopardy… Here, the envy of the Devil, through which sin entered the world, is also present, and deceitfully intends to destroy the image of God: man and woman, who receive the mandate to grow, multiply, and conquer the earth. Let us not be naive: it is not a simple political struggle; it is an intention [which is] destructive of the plan of God. It is not a mere legislative project (this is a mere instrument), but rather a “move” of the father of lies who wishes to confuse and deceive the children of God.

Jesus tells us that, in order to defend us from this lying accuser, he will send us the Spirit of Truth… the Holy Ghost that may place the light of Truth amid the shadows of error; [we need] this Advocate who may defend us from the enchantment of so many sophisms… which confuse and deceive even people of good will.

That is why I turn to you and ask from you prayer and sacrifice, the two invincible weapons which Saint Thérèse confessed to have. Cry out to the Lord that he may send his Spirit to the Senators who are to place their votes. That they may not do it moved by error or by circumstantial matters, but rather according to what the natural law and the law of God tell them. Pray for them, for their families; that the Lord may visit, strengthen, and console them. Pray that they may do great good…

…Let us look towards Saint Joseph, to Mary, the Child, and let us ask with fervor that they will defend [us]. Fr. Ramon Andreu's Notes: Part Three, Post 26

From 2 to 3:15 yesterday two girls had apparitions in their house. They opened the doors of the room and went out to the dining room. Within the house were the girls’ parents, two priests and a grandmother.

One hundred people witnessed in the street.

One of them was not allowed to leave her house and did not have a vision.

Conchita did not have a vision at this time, and the two girls in ecstasy neared the vision.

Telephone Conversation with the Fr. Rector, Arana

August 31, 1961

1st—The visions continue.

2nd—They had Conchita locked in her house for three days and yesterday they let her leave. She went directly to the Church. It was locked. She was in ecstasy for a while. Conchita said that she would have another vision that night.

At Sunset: Conchita left and her brothers accompanied her to defend her. She went toward the Church and had an ecstasy in the road. This was around 11 at night. Upon arriving at the door she fell to her knees, then fell on the ground and sat up. After she sat, she went within 15 meters of the Church. Her dress didn’t move, and always stayed to her knee, and she didn’t get dirty with dust, and afterwards she returned to the same posture and to the place where she had begun.

During this time you could see the whites of her eyes.

During Conchita’s vision, Loli and Jacinta were in her house.

3rd—Jacinta and Loli were in Jacinta’s grandmother’s house. They let the Marquis of Santa María and a sick woman who’d had 12 operations come up. The girls prayed for the sick woman and they gave her the crucifix and the rosary to kiss; they returned it in a state of ecstasy. The sick woman almost fainted.

4th—The Virgin has advised Lolita to lengthen her dress a little.

5th—Many people went and many were impressed.

6th—The people who went, in general, were very devoted. They finished the hosts in the village and the pastor asked us to send for an urgent shipment of hosts.
