Miracle of the Angel

UPDATE: THE CHURCH"S POSITION ON GARABANDAL

The magazine "Garabandal International" has updated some information regarding the village of Garabandal, the current Bishop and Pastor, Joey Lomangino, the Seers and the Miracle.
There are clear signs that Our Lady is preparing the way for the prophesied events. The roads leading up to Garabandal are being widened. The road from Casio to Garabandal is being surveyed and pegged for widening and upgrading.
The new Bishop, Archbishop Vincente Zamora has stated publicly that he will take any new information on Garabandal. The previous Bishop, Archbishop Carlos, openly encouraged pilgrims to go to Garabandal and for priests to say Mass and hear confessions there without having to obtain approval. The Parish Priest, Fr. Rolando, has publicly declared his belief in the apparitions. This ecclesiastical support has been totally lacking in the Spanish clergy till recent times.

Joey Lomangino, who is now 79 years old and will receive new eyes on the day of the Miracle.

As you may know, during this past Lenten season Joey Lomangino suffered a minor heart attack. His condition is now stable and he is experiencing a strong recovery. This year, by God’s grace, Joey will turn 80 years old, an event which he is looking forward to. Your prayers for his full recovery are much appreciated.

Conchita, who now lives on Long Island, New York, (and also has a home in Fatima) has not made any public statements about Garabandal for a long time. Her son, Patrick, was married about a year ago and we heard Joey was at the wedding and looked well.

The question was asked about the date of the Miracle.
We know that Our Lady gave Conchita the date of the Miracle which she is to announce eight days in advance. She has also said it would occur on a Thursday, at 8:30pm between the 8th and the 16th of the month. Originally she said the Miracle would occur between February and May, then that was reduced to March, April or May. Conchita also ruled out May during an interview with a Mexican priest in 1965 and in an interview with Harry Daley in 1982, she ruled out March. (So it looks like April is the month for the Miracle to happen!)

Finally I wanted to ask everyone to continue to pray for the Seers. Mari Loli Lafleur, better know to many as Mary Loli, one of the four Garabandal visionaries has died at the age of 60. Joey Lomangino, the founder of the U.S. based apostolate for Garabandal issued a brief statement on April 21 announcing her death. No specific date of death was given in this announcement but from the text in appears to have been on April 20th. Fidelium animae, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen.
