Fr. Ramon Andreu's Notes: Part Three, Post 74

(Extract) Segovia February 20, 1962

My Reverend Father:
“They arrived at Garabandal after a painful ascent—the mud was knee-deep. They were tired from the trip, and the things they had to carry. After one at night they put blankets over the ground and stayed there quietly so they wouldn’t wake the people who were sleeping. The people realized this, and with great charity, they opened the doors of their houses and offered all that they had. They admired the virtue these people had, their charity, purity, and simplicity that they had not seen anywhere before. It made sense to them that a village so pure of soul would be the site where the Virgin would appear, and as they said “they are brothers of body and soul; we have never seen such men or such saints.’
