MARI-CRUZ STOPS SEEING THE
BLESSED VIRGIN OF MOUNT CARMEL
BLESSED VIRGIN OF MOUNT CARMEL
Of the four visionaries, Mari-Cruz was the least favored with ecstasies. They stopped completely for her on this September 12, 1962 (the very day of the Feast of the Holy Name of Mary). She would suffer a great deal from this . . . to such an extent that she would come to deny that she had ever seen anything supernatural at San Sebastian de Garabandal.
The most probable explanations of the "Mari-Cruz enigma" undoubtedly resides in the opposition of her parents who, more or less, 'disapproved' of these phenomena from the very beginning. At Garabandal, the Blessed Virgin always had respect for the authority of the parents.
(Mari-Cruz became a simple mournful observer of her companions in ecstasy. Conchita liked her very much and said that she was the kindest of the four visionaries, and that her doubts would be dispelled after the Aviso and the great Miracle.)
