MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 1961:

Conchita and Padre Alejandro in 1964

ARRIVAL OF PADRE ALEJANDRO MARIA ANDREU, S.J.,
AT SAN SEBASTIAN DE GARABANDAL,
FROM VENEZUELA

In the inn belonging to Conchita's father, Our Lady warned Conchita, in ecstasy, that a missionary was in the village. He was Alejandro Maria Andreu with his brother Ramon, coming for the first time to meet the visionaries. Manifesting her predilection for this particular priesthood, the Blessed Virgin revealed to Conchita several personal details about the life of Alejandro, then a missionary in Venezuela since the age of eighteen.

The three brothers were all Jesuits, Fr. Luis, Fr. Ramon and Fr. Alejandro.

I just found out that Fr. Ramon died in November 2004 at the age of 81 in California.

The mother of these three priests, entered a convent in Spain and was professed a nun after the death of Fr. Luis.

Notice that Our Lady knows all our personal details . . . That could be embarrassing to some of us! Dear Mother of Mercy, pray for us!

And slowly many witnesses have passed on as we await the prophecies to be fulfilled in our life time!

I always wonder if I'll be around for the Warning and great Miracle? I'm 73 years old now and only the Lord knows how long I will live. Actually, I'm surprised I lived this long. My family has a history of dying young (in their 60's) and I was a sickly child until I reached my late teens. So we never know!

I have a promise to keep on the day of the Miracle that I vowed to God many years ago! I hope to fulfill that promise!

NIGHT OF SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, TO MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 1961:

"AH, ST. JOSEPH IS THE GREATEST
SAINT IN HEAVEN!"

In response to Don Valentin Marichalar's questions, the visionaries learned from the Blessed Virgin that St. Joseph is "the greatest of all the Saints." He gave signs of his "presence," at San Sebastian de Garabandal, a presence always discreet and sensitive.

Thinking of St. Joseph always makes me happy. I've been devoted to him for many years. He has helped me and my family in many ways, temporal and spiritual. I invoke him every day when I pray my Rosary and I also pray the famous "St. Joseph Prayer":

Prayer to St. Joseph over 1900 years old

O St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the most Loving of Fathers. O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen

Say for nine consecutive mornings for anything you may desire. It has seldom been known to fail.

This prayer was found in the 50th year of Our Lord Jesus Christ. In 1500's it was sent by the Pope to Emperor Charles when he was going into battle.

Whoever reads this prayer or hears it or carries it, will never die a sudden death, nor be drowned, nor will poison take effect on them. They will not fall into the hands of the enemy nor be burned in any fire, nor will they be defeated in battle.

Make this prayer known everywhere.

PADRE RODRIGO IS "CONSULTED"

Padre Lucio Rodrigo was consulted by the members of the "Special Commission" (except Dr. Morales), most certainly in the second half of the month of August 1961. Following this encounter with the renowned Spanish theologian, Don Juan Antonio del Val, the future bishop of Santander . . ., resigned from the "Commission."

Father Rodrigo was a Jesuit and a very holy priest! He firmly believed in the apparitions at Garabandal. He learned the nature of the great Miracle from Conchita, but not when it will happen. He died on March 30, 1973 at the age of 90 from injuries he received from a car accident. Shortly before he died, he received a special grace from God that he had asked for to confirm his belief in the divine origin of the Garabandal events. He is quoted as saying: "If there exists in the world a window through which one can contemplate Heaven, it is Garabandal!"

At the beginning of September, Ramon Maria Andreu pursued his observations. He was then on the point of completing his Memorandum, still a limited study but nonetheless a serious one, about the "events," that he had made with Msgr. Doroteo Fernandez' full consent.

Little by little the 'events' were recorded for history which will prove extremely important when the apparitions are finally approved by the Church in the near future! Father Ramon was an important eye witness to the 'events.' He was living in California before he died and was close to one of the visionaries (Jacinta, who married an American) and lives in California too.

THE "SYMBOLIC" BAPTISM OF
MURIEL CATHERINE

Muriel Catherine, a nineteen-year old woman from Paris, of a Jewish father and a Protestant mother, was practicing no religion when she met Ascension de Luis from Burgos. The latter taught her a few rudimentary notions of the Catholic faith. The two friends went up to Garabandal on Monday, August 28, Feast of St. Augustine, the most famous convert in the Church history, except St. Paul.

At about 12:30 a.m., on August 29, they attended an ecstasy of Mari-Loli and Jacinta, who spoke about Muriel to their Vision. The visionaries then exclaimed: "She is not baptized!. . . Come, let's help her . . . Ah, because of her parents! . . ." Loli suddenly stretched out her arm, and grasped a bottle of holy water that a priest had given her to throw towards the apparition as a "test." The girl opened the bottle and threw the contents upwards, in front of her. But instead of following its normal course, the water mysteriously bent its path, and in its inexplicable trajectory, fell as a little shower on Muriel.

Muriel already had faith. But to be baptized, she had to wait until she came of age, the parents being opposed to her initiative. She was baptized in the cathedral of Burgos, at twenty-one years of age, on October 20, 1963, under the name of Maria del Carmen Catherine. She can be considered as a figure of the Synagogue called to be "baptized," or of the Church arising from the Synagogue.

Muriel represents the first of three cases of a typical "conversion" linked directly to Garabandal. The two other cases are those of Maximo Foerscher, an Evangelist, and of Barbara Painter, an Anglican Protestant.

What a beautiful story of Our Lady's desire that all people's enter the holy Catholic Faith! It also reminds me of the Scripture written by St. Paul regarding the conversion of the Jews:

"For I would not have you ignorant, brethren, of this mystery (lest you should be wise in your own conceits) that blindness in part has happened in Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles should come in. And so all Israel should be saved, as it is written: There shall come out of Sion, he that shall deliver and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob. And this is to them my covenant: when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, indeed, they are enemies for your sake: but as touching the election, they are most dear for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance. For as you also in times past did not believe God, but now have obtained mercy, through their unbelief: So these also now have not believed, for your mercy, that they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded all in unbelief, that he may have mercy on all."

As a matter of fact, as we shall read later on, the Great Miracle at Garabandal will bring everyone in the world into the Catholic Church, yes even the Moslems too! Praise God! Wow, will we be busy then teaching our neighbors about Jesus & Mary and all the Truths of our blessed Faith. Hey, you better get brushed up on your catechism so you can be a good teacher and pass on our beloved Faith!!!

Two Questions and Answers regarding the Month of the Miracle and Where It will be Announced:

Conchita mentions the Miracle will

This rules out March. I do not
know which source ruled out June but
I would appreciate your advice. This

Dear John,
I refer to your email in which you
state that Conchita’s interview states
that the Miracle will occur between
April and June. Allow me to give you
the history of these predictions.
The Virgin Mary gave Conchita
the exact date of the Miracle and
told her to announce it eight days in
advance. No months were mentioned.
In order to protect the Village from
people flooding there in advance of
the Miracle, Conchita first stated the
miracle would be between February
and June. She later revised this to
March, April or May.
In 1965, in conversation with a
Mexican priest, Fr Morales, Conchita
excluded March. In an interview with
Harry Daley in 1982 she excluded
May. When advised by Maria Saraco
that she (Conchita) had excluded
March in 1965 and May in 1982,
Conchita said she had no memory
of this. Maria Saraco, well known to
the visionaries, said unless Conchita
wanted to refute this, she (Maria
Saraco), would state the Miracle will
occur in April. Conchita said to Maria
Saraco “Do what you have to do”.
So John, you can make up your
own mind about the date of the
Miracle. One thing is for certain, we
won’t have to wait too long to find out

which month was correct.

this winter. Perhaps we could swap
places for a few weeks!
I am wondering if you could
shed some light on the question
of where Conchita will make
the announcement of the Great
Miracle?
Conchita bought a home unit
in Fatima some time ago from the
proceeds of the sale of the family
home in Garabandal. I believe she
spends a few months each year in
Fatima. I have heard she is to make
the announcement of the great Miracle
under the protection of Our Lady of
Fatima and possibly in Fatima. I am
wondering if you can confirm if this is
true? Will the announcement be made
to coincide with Spanish time, English
time or American time? Thank you for
your clarification on this.

Dear Tony,
Regarding Conchita’s
announcement of the Miracle, I am
completely in the dark as to where
and how that will take place. I’m
not sure she even knows. I have
never heard that she is to make
the announcement, “under the
protection of Our Lady of Fatima”.
One document from the time of the
apparitions states that Our Lady
will appear to her on the day she is
to make the announcement, that is,
eight days beforehand, and give her
the strength to do it.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 23, 1961:

Their small crucifix in their hands,
the visionaries in ecstasy before the closed door of the church.

UNPARALLELED AND LIVING PRESENCE
OF THE "CRUCIFIX" IN GARABANDAL

Within the limits allowed by the Note from Msgr. Doroteo Fernandez and never in opposition to them, the church of Garabandal remains a major pole of the apparitions. In each one of them, or almost, the visionaries returned there to pray before the closed door. There, on several occasions, the Angel even gave them Communion.

On the day following the interdiction we know, the girls, in ecstasy before the closed door and on the advice of their Vision, suddenly decided to get a crucifix from their homes . . . except Mari-Cruz (for personal family reasons). It is interesting to note that this invitation and inspiration of "wearing a crucifix" happened on the very day of the Feast, then celebrated on August 23 in the universal Church, of St. Philip Benizi who was one of the seven founders of the "Servites of Mary." At the moment of his death he had cried out: "Give me my book!" (that is, "my crucifix!"). Henceforth, the visionaries in ecstasy would systematically be equipped with one. This gesture, in its clear reference to the Passion, takes all its meaning in Garabandal, most especially with the second and ultimate Massage (June 18, 1965) of which, as we shall see, it will be precisely the final word.

During the apparitions, the visionaries would present their crucifix to be kissed, sometimes kiss it themselves, or make the sign of the cross with it over those present, notably over those who, very often in secret prayer, "were asking for proofs" . . . The children also made the sign of the cross with it over persons lying down and asleep, on the forehead of the sick, on the heads of beds (twice if two persons slept in them), over the vehicles of visitors, etc.

The kiss of the crucifix played an immense role at San Sebastian de Garabandal, giving rise in those benefited from this, to profound emotions, healings and even to remarkable conversions.

Again we see the obedience of Our Lady in regards to the Bishop and the Church! In obeying, She led the children up to the door of the local parish but had their apparition out in the open air. Our Lady had said "Obedience to the Church gives great glory to God". It's a good lesson for us, to obey the Laws of the Church before our own pride filled ideas! The 'First Sin' was through disobedience and pride (Satan's fall from heaven) and Adam and Eve followed up with their disobedience and pride giving us Original Sin. But "Happy Fault", it caused Our Savior Jesus Christ to come down from heaven, to suffer, die and rise for our salvation. And that's why the crucifix is so important. We gaze upon the image of the Crucified One and it reminds us of all He did for us. It calls us to repentance and reparation for our personal sins. It gives us the grace to thank Jesus over and over for His Sacred Passion.

Our Mother Mary has taught us, through these young girls, to wear and venerate a Blessed crucifix (not a plain cross), to touch others with It, asking Almighty God to bless everyone (remember, only a priest and deacon can officially bless with the blessings of the Church) and all things!

I wear a large St. Benedict crucifix and Medal, which has been touched to a particle of the True Cross, a Garabandal relic kissed by Our Lady and many other relics. There are many indulgences attached to this crucifix and a promise of a happy death to those who wear it. It also protects us from the evil one. We need all the help we can get from heaven because there is a raging battle out there for our souls! It's a good idea to wear some religious item around our necks, medals, crucifixes, scapulars, just make sure they are blessed by a priest or deacon . . .

A REMARKABLE "SPANISH
COUNTRY PASTOR" ENTERS
THE LIVING STORY OF
GARABANDAL

Don Jose Ramon Garcia de la Riva went up to Garabandal for the first time on this day. He was then pastor of the parish of Our Lady of Sorrows at Barro, a small village some 38 miles away. The name of this priest of the Asturias was to remain profoundly linked to Garabandal.

A good photographer and an amateur movie maker, he took some beautiful films and some remarkable photos of the visionaries and sites. He published his 'Memoirs of a Spanish country parish Priest', in memory of his numerous trips to San Sebastian de Garabandal, from 1961 to 1968.


The very day of his arrival in the village, the members of the "Special Commission," who were also there on this August 22, obtained that the church be closed to the visionaries in ecstasy. Four days later, Msgr. Doroteo Fernandez published his first Note in the Official Bulletin of the diocese, forbidding priests henceforth from going to Garabandal. This was above all a pastoral act of prudence.

Our Lady said in one of her apparitions that she prayed for the coming of the Missiah before she found out that she was to be the Mother of God at the Annunciation. We can do the same, pray daily for the fulfillment of the Message of Garabandal, the Warning, the Miracle and Great Sign, and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary! Pray also for the final Dogma of Our Lady as Co-redemptrix, Mediatrix of all graces and Advocate will be proclaimed by the Church!

Why Are You Surprised?

Why are the parish priests so silent about these times? It seems to me that ours priests should be leading us… but 99% are silent… why are they silent…??? Why are so many, many people asleep? Why don’t they wake up? I can see what’s happening and I am not special… why can’t others? It’s like a mandate from Heaven has been sent out to wake up and see what time it is… but only a few are awake and even fewer are responding.

My answer is why are you surprised? If we are possibly living in the "end times" (not the end of the world, but an end "period") as many of the popes seemed to think such as Pius X, Paul V, and John Paul II, if not our present Holy Father, then these days will be exactly as Scripture said they would be.

THE DAYS OF NOAH

Noah did not build the ark over night. It could have taken as long as a hundred years. I think of how long it has been since Our Lady appeared in Fatima… 1917. That, to some, is a "long" time.

During the construction, many would have watched Noah and said he was crazy, delusional, paranoid. Others may have been alarmed, and recognized that perhaps they were living contrary to the law written on their hearts…. but as the decades wore on, and nothing happened, they soon ignored Noah altogether, even though the ark was plainly and daily before their eyes. And yet others followed Noah’s every move, mocking him, discrediting him, doing whatever they could to prove that he was not only delusional, but that his God did not exist, and the world would carry on as usual.

That’s a direct parallel to our times. Yes, Our Blessed Mother has been appearing for many decades, centuries even. Many have thought the authentic apparitions to be nonsense or at the very least irrelevant. Others have heard their messages, and for awhile, followed them while reforming their lives… but as time has gone on, and the prophetic aspects remain yet to be fully fulfilled, they have fallen asleep, sometimes sliding back into worldly thinking and pursuits. And yet others have watched the apparitions intently, publishing books and articles at every turn to debunk the phenomena, denounce the visionaries, and for some, use this as an opportunity to attack the Faithful.

Jesus said that, before His return, the world would be "as in the days of Noah" (Luke 17:26). That is, very few would be ready for the many events that would shake the earth, those labor pains and the events that would follow. In Noah’s time, eight in all the land were ready.

Only eight boarded the ark.

REMNANT

When Jesus was born, only a handful of shepherds and a few wise men greeted Him, even though prophecies foretold that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem, and Herod and others were expecting His imminent coming. Even the stars were forecasting signs.

When Jesus died and rose again, He fulfilled some 400 prophecies in Scripture written centuries before him that were in plain full view of the Jewish leaders. But only John, Christ’s Mother, and her sister stood beneath the Cross… only a few women were at the tomb on the third day.

So too, as The Passion of the Church nears, the "followers" in the Church will be fewer and fewer. St. Paul said that there would in fact be an apostasy, a great falling away from the faith (2 Thess 2). Jesus himself said that the coming of the Day of the Lord would be proceeded by many falling asleep (Matt 25), and warned the Apostles to "stay awake!" So too, St. Peter exhorted believers to "stay sober and alert." We should not be surprised that, despite the fact the "Ark of the New Covenant" is in full view, many, many are asleep, oblivious, or simply don’t care.

GOD’S HAND IS UPON IT ALL

Brothers and sisters, I am hearing from many of the "prophets" that God has connected me with, some mystics, some authors, others priests… and without exception, the "word" is that some very significant events are coming that will throw the world into utter chaos… the great winds of The Great Storm that the world is facing (see The Prophecy at Rome – Part VI). And yet, Pope Paul VI continues even now to put all into perspective:

I sometimes read the Gospel passage of the end times and I attest that, at this time, some signs of this end are emerging. Are we close to the end? This we will never know. We must always hold ourselves in readiness, but everything could last a very long time yet. —POPE PAUL VI, The Secret Paul VI, Jean Guitton, p. 152-153, Reference (7), p. ix.

Yes, it does seem that many are unaware, unwilling, or unable to see what has been clearly enunciated by the popes, spoken by Our Blessed Mother, and foretold in Sacred Scripture. But in case those who do see think it is because they are special, they need to humbly recognize that they see for a reason. From my writing,Hope is Dawning:

Little ones, do not think that because you, the remnant, are small in number means that you are special. Rather, you are chosen. You are chosen to bring the Good News to the world at the appointed hour. This is the Triumph for which my Heart awaits with great anticipation. All is set now. All is in motion. The hand of my Son is ready to move in the most sovereign way. Pay careful attention to my voice. I am preparing you, my little ones, for this Great Hour of Mercy. Jesus is coming, coming as Light, to awaken souls steeped in darkness. For the darkness is great, but the Light is far greater. When Jesus comes, much will come to light, and the darkness will be scattered. It is then that you will be sent, like the Apostles of old, to gather souls into my Motherly garments. Wait. All is ready. Watch and pray. Never lose hope, for God loves everyone.

Beginning of August 1961, Conchita in ecstasy presents her doll to her Vision.

"GAMES" OF THE VISIONARIES . . .
IN ECSTASY. "THREE SECRETS" TO
COME . . . FOR THREE MYSTERIOUS
YEARS RELATED TO THE LITURGICAL
FEAST OF THE DAY? TO THE THREE
(PAST) YEARS OF IMMEDIATE
PREPARATION TO THE GREAT JUBILEE 2000?

The Blessed Virgin played hide-and-go-seek several times with the children, something that amused them a great deal. At the time of the ecstasy on this Saturday evening, August 19, 1961, Feast of St. John Eudes, the four visionaries spoke of "three secrets for three years," of "three secret messages that they were to make public each year," but which they did not know at the time . . .

It does not seem advisable for us to interpret here those "secrets." However, the biblical theme of the "secret" being always linked to that of the "Heart" of God (and of Mary), it appears necessary for us to connect this revelation made to the visionaries with the work of St. John Eudes. Living in the seventeenth century, he was later to be officially recognized as "the Father, the Apostle and the Doctor of the public cult given to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary."

Indwelt by a prayer of universal dimensions, Marie des Vallees was a source of major inspiration for St. John Eudes for fifteen years. This astonishing mystic enjoyed the benefits of admirable prophetic insights of an eschatological nature, of which some remain "secret" to this day. Marie des Vallees already proclaimed that, before the end of times, there would occur here, on Earth, a "general conversion," a "deluge of fire," work of the Holy Spirit, and that "everything in the mission would be accomplished by the Blessed Virgin."

On the other hand, what the girls of Garabandal were told on that evening corroborates the Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima in August 1917, which occurred for well-known reasons, not on the 13th of the month, as usual, but on the 19th, precisely on the Feast of St. John Eudes. The prophetic (and eschatological) dimension of Fatima being not totally fulfilled yet, couldn't we consider this "delayed rendezvous" of the Blessed Virgin as the manifestation of the divine plan and desire of setting up in the world, some day, a joint devotion and cult to the (Divine) Heart of Jesus and the (Immaculate) Heart of Mary?

There's so much on this page, I don't know where to begin to comment!

Imagine playing games with Our Blessed Mother! And why not? Did not your own mother play games with you? If not, you missed out on a lot of growing up. Every mother plays with her children, even if it's just playing "this little piggy went to market . . ." to calm you down. So Mother Mary, being our spiritual Mother, cares for us more than any earthly mother, so She would love to play games with us to calm us down . . . And of course Her divine Son Jesus taught us: Pointing to a little child, Jesus said 'You must be like this little child to enter the Kingdom of God!'

Secrets! I'm not sure what these secrets are, unless it refers to the Warning, the Miracle and the Great Sign prophesied at Garabandal. We'll have to see as we go along, but we all know about the Secrets of Fatima. The last one was revealed by Pope John-Paul II on June 26, 2000. Here is the complete text:

"I write in obedience to you, my God, who command me to do so through his Excellency the Bishop of Leiria and through your Most Holy Mother and mine.

"After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendor that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: 'Penance, Penance, Penance!'. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God."

I looked up Marie des Vallees and most of the info about her is in French. It seems that she was a demonic and St. John Eudes exorcised her. After that she became one of his favorite spiritual advisers. She wrote four volumes of spiritual works too. It seems that St. Louis de Montfort also went to her for spiritual advise.

As I wrote before, Fatima & Garabandal are closely joined, as are all of Our Lady's apparitions . . . We're still waiting for the 'conversion of Russia' and the 'Era of Peace' prophecised at Fatima. I believe this will occur when the Garabandal "events" manifest themselves in the near future!!!

AND DEPTH OF PRAYER AT
SAN SEBASTIAN DE GARABANDAL

"Prayer holds an important place in Garabandal. Magnificent, varied, profound, it runs through the "events" on the whole as never in any other great Marian Apparition . . . .
The girls devoted a great deal of their time to prayer. What is especially striking is the quality of their ecstatic prayer: a meditation filled with presence, moved to the extreme; a slow, poised
recitation inspiring the full meaning of words as simple as "Mary," "blessed," "grace," "Jesus." " (Robert Francois Turner, 'I, Your Mother,' ch. 18).

The children spontaneously recited first the Rosary, then the Litanies, the Creed, the Our Father, the Salve Regina, in short what they knew. The Blessed Virgin had taught the visionaries all these prayers and, then, had gradually helped the girls to pronounce them clearly. So, on this August 18, the first thing Our Lady undertook was to recite the rosary with them: "I'll start the prayer and you will answer, very slowly," She suggested to the children.


The visionaries postures induced the crowds to be quiet and recollected. "They would fall on their knees in the tiniest fraction of a second, sometimes adopting an overwhelming attitude of petition, their faces turned to heaven" (ibid.).
"To sing is to pray twice over" . . . The children improvised various hymns. From their songs there emanated a strange meekness and always a beautiful harmony.
The Blessed Virgin taught the girls to make correctly the various signs of the cross used in Spain. They made them with unmatched dignity. Many films testify to this.

Our Lady is teaching us, through these apparitions, how important it is to pray constantly and the right way of praying! See how we must think about the "words" that we are uttering, lifting up to God. Have you every been at a prayer service where the words are rattled off at ninety miles an hour? There is no time to think or meditate on their meaning. Some of the last words Our Blessed Mother said at Garabandal was "Think about the Passion of Jesus." Along with that and many Saints recommendations, I try to pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary each day, thinking about how much the Lord suffered for my sins . . .

Mother Mary has also taught me to pray like she taught the visionaries. When I first went back to church, around the year 1970, I didn't know how to pray at all! Little by little, Our Lady sent to me people who taught and inspired me to pray many different ways. But the Rosary became my favorite private prayer and I promised Our Lady that I would say it everyday of my life.

Did you ever sing the Rosary? When I drove a truck, years ago, I used to sing the Mysteries as I drove here and there. Being alone in the cab of the truck, allows a person to express themselves and be truly open to God's grace. I can't sing too well, but only God knows about it!

Making the Sign of the Cross is important too! I've seen some sloppy ones made, sometimes so quick as if the person was embarrassed about the cross. Then there are those who refuse to cross themselves at all! I've seen this at Mass too! Even priests who did not make the Sign of the Cross at the start of the Mass! What a scandal! The cross is the sign of our redemption, so I think we should bless ourselves more often. One of the privileges of being a deacon, is to bless people and objects with the sign of the cross. What an honor!

By the way, did you know that the people of the Orthodox Faith make the Sign of the Cross right shoulder to left, instead of left shoulder to right as we do it. I always wondered why. Does anyone know?

THE warning in my heart continues to grow about a coming deception, which may in fact be the one described in 2 Thess 2:11-13. What follows after the so-called "illumination" or "warning" is not only a brief but powerful period of evangelization, but a dark counter-evangelization that will, in many ways, be just as convincing. Part of the preparation for that deception is knowing beforehand that it is coming:

Indeed, the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants, the prophets… I have said all this to you to keep you from falling away. They will put you out of the synagogues; indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. And they will do this because they have not known the Father, nor me. But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told you of them. (Amos 3:7; John 16:1-4)

Satan not only knows what is coming, but has been planning for it for a long time. It is exposed in the language being used…

Behold, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves. (Matt 10:16)

Someone wrote recently: "Your prayerful reflections are inspiring, although unsettling." The intended fruit is indeed to shake us from our complacency and routine mode of living and pay attention to the times we live in and to events which appear imminent. But, I pray above all, that you will read this writing in the broader context of God’s providence and care for us; that He loves us so much, He is preparing us, and granting us the means to draw into the refuge and safety of His Sacred Heart.

VERY QUICKLY NOW

Three words came to me:

Very quickly now.

Events around the world are going to unfold very rapidly now. I saw three "orders" collapse one upon the other like dominoes:

The economy, then the social, then the political order.

In their place will rise a New World Order. Far from a conspiracy theory, it is the reality unfolding before us—one which the Vatican has been warning about for some time.

VOICE OF THE VATICAN

There is so much information flying around, some of it true, some of it exaggerated, some of it simply false. Once again, we must quiet our hearts through prayer, fix our eyes on Jesus, and listen to Him speak to us, especially from the rock, which is His Church.

The Vatican released an important document called Jesus Christ, The Bearer of the Water of Life. It’s primary function is to help us discern the difference between Christian and New Age spirituality. But it also serves as a prophetic warning… a warning which I feel the Lord asking me to repeat here:

There is coming a counterfeit spirituality after the Illumination.

God is sending them a deceiving power so that they may believe the lie, that all who have not believed the truth but have approved wrongdoing may be condemned. (2 Thess 2:11-13)

Understand… the Lord desires all to be saved. Jesus is not consumed with rage, but by the fires of His mercy which He desires to spend upon the most heinous of sinners. But those who refuse the door of Mercy which the Illumination or "warning" will be, must then pass through the door of his Justice.

Before I come as the Just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy… I first open wide the door of My mercy. He who refuses to pass through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice. —Diary of St. Faustina, n. 83, 1146

As our Lord Himself taught, He came not to condemn the world, but to offer us eternal life. Those who refuse to believe are already condemned and "the wrath of God remains upon" them (John 3:36).

THE MASK OF ANTICHRIST

While God is preparing us for the Illumination, we must be aware that it is also being anticipated by the powers of darkness. This is a centuries old preparation which began in and around the French Revolution. It could be summed up in two words: the "New Age".

Perhaps you’ve noticed how similar New Age language is to that of Christian prophecy and mysticism in reference to coming times. We speak of a coming "era of peace." The new agers speak of a coming "age of Aquarius". We speak of a Rider on a White Horse; they speak of Perseus riding upon the white horse, Pegasus. We aim for a purified conscience; they aim for a "higher or altered state of consciousness." We speak about an era of unity in Christ, while they speak of an era of universal "oneness."

The economic, social, and political order as we know it (particularly in the West) is going to collapse. In its place will rise a new order founded on a "new spirituality" (which is actually rooted in ancient philosophies and pagan beliefs.) From the Vatican’s reflection on the New Age:

The harmony and understanding required for responsible governance is increasingly understood to be a global government, with a global ethical framework. —Jesus Christ, The Bearer of the Water of Life, n. 2.3.1, Pontifical Councils for Culture and Inter-religious Dialogue (my italics)

As I wrote in The Great Vacuum, this "global government’ will respond not only to people’s cry for order among the chaos, but also to their spiritual cry. The ultimate goal of the dragon, and his puppet the Antichrist, is to lead mankind to worshiping him (Rev 13:4, 8 ):

[the] New Age shares with a number of internationally influential groups, the goal of superseding or transcending particular religions in order to create space for a universal religion which could unite humanity. Closely related to this is a very concerted effort on the part of many institutions to invent a Global Ethic. —Jesus Christ, The Bearer of the Water of Life, n. 2.5 , Pontifical Councils for Culture and Inter-religious Dialogue

This "Global Ethic" will attempt to blend cultural, political, and economical realities into one framework with a "universal religion" as its foundation. The heart of this spirituality is the "supreme Self"—me, myself, and I. As such, there really is no unity in mutual love but a False Unity based upon a false trinity: Tolerant, Humane, and Equal. We are all gods trying to reach a "universal consciousness", a harmony with one another, Mother Earth, and the "vibrations" or "energy" of the cosmos. We will reach this transcendent reality through a "paradigm shift" and "altered state of consciousness." Since there is no personal God, there is no Judge, and therefore, no sin.

Speaking to the "youth of the world", Pope John Paul warned of this insidious spirituality which will lead not to freedom, but slavery—bondage to Antichrist and the dragon himself:

There is no need to be afraid to call the first agent of evil by his name: the Evil One. The strategy which he used and continues to use is that of not revealing himself, so that the evil implanted by him from the beginning may receive its development from man himself, from systems and from relationships between individuals, from classes and nations—so as also to become ever more a "structural" sin, ever less identifiable as "personal" sin. In other words, so that man may feel in a certain sense "freed" from sin but at the same time be ever more deeply immersed in it. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Apostolic Letter, Dilecti Amici, To The Youth of the World, n. 15

It is clear, then, that Christianity and her indissoluble moral codes stand as a formidable obstacle to this counter spirituality.

The New Age which is dawning will be peopled by perfect, androgynous  beings who are totally in command of the cosmic laws of nature. In this scenario, Christianity has to be eliminated and give way to a global religion and a new world order.  —‚Jesus Christ, The Bearer of the Water of Life, n. 4, Pontifical Councils for Culture and Inter-religious Dialogue

The word androgynous means to be of "indeterminate sex", that is, people who are bi-sexual, transsexual, or homosexual—or at least, embracing these "alternatives." Thus, we see the satanic influence in the current trend to change and alter discrimination and marriage laws in the broader context of a New World Order… a new, and anti-Christian age. 

THE LIES, SIGNS, AND WONDERS

I believe false prophets are going to arise, if not the "False Prophet" himself (Rev 13:11; 20:10), who will repudiate the nature of the Illumination, saying that it is not a "last call" for this age to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Rather, it will be explained away in the most deceptive terms as a universal awakening of the "Christ within" and the world’s transition into the Age of Aquarius.

The New Age professes that, "we are gods, and we discover the unlimited power within us by peeling off layers of inauthenticity. The more this potential is recognised, the more it is realised… God has to be interiorised: from the Almighty God "out there" to God the dynamic, creative power within the very centre of all being: God as Spirit”. —Jesus Christ, The Bearer of the Water of Life, n. 3.5 , Pontifical Councils for Culture and Inter-religious Dialogue

So you see, the Illumination will be explained as a merely "cosmic incidence" to peel away the unreality we all live in. The false prophets will convince many that this was not an act of God, but a "universal consciousness" being awakened, a global paradigm shift creating an opportunity for all humanity to achieve their potential of being a god.

“Christ” is a title applied to someone who has arrived at a state of consciousness where he or she perceives him or herself to be divine and can thus claim to be a “universal Master”. —Jesus Christ, The Bearer of the Water of Life, n. 2.3.4.2 , Pontifical Councils for Culture and Inter-religious Dialogue

The false prophets may exhibit paranormal powers to back up these claims, such as the ability to move objects, make ghosts appear, and possess hidden knowledge of people’s lives. But it will not be human skills, rather, demonic manifestations. However, these will be recognized by those who are filled with the Spirit of Jesus and protected by His grace. 

All will be encouraged and persuaded to embrace this New Age in a language which parallels love and goodness. Perhaps this will be the greatest deception of all: the overtures which speak of seeking the truth through silence, meditation, community, environmentalism and "logic". It will be irresistible to many due in part to a lack of coercion. Christians will be permitted at first to ignore the state religion, but eventually without the benefits of the state (see Trumpets of Warning – Part V).  "How can this be evil?" many will insist, ignoring God’s prophets, and seeking the security of the New Order. Indeed, the promise of peace to end the violence and chaos which will have already exploded prior to the Illumination will be welcomed by all. But it will be a false security, an illusory peace…

They have healed the wound of my people lightly saying, `Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace… I set watchmen over you, saying, `Give heed to the sound of the trumpet!’

That is, God will warn through the Time of the Two Witnesses (and now!) that this New Age counterfeit is not true repentance, but a false worship.

But they said, `We will not give heed.’ Therefore hear, O nations, and know, O congregation, what will happen to them. Hear, O earth; behold, I am bringing evil upon this people, the fruit of their devices, because they have not given heed to my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it. (Jeremiah 6:14, 17-19)

The Day of the Lord will have arrived. The Great Purification will enter it’s most difficult phase, beginning with God’s household. 

GOD-LIKE POWERS 

This counterfeit will be accompanied by other false signs and "wonders that lie " (2 Thess 2:9) so as to deceive even the elect. Genuine supernatural phenomenon such as Marian apparitions and physical healings could be duplicated by counterfeits, sowing doubt among those who have believed in the genuine apparitions.

False prophets will also offer their own explanations for natural disasters and environmental crises, and even demonstrate their "powers" over nature. For example, technologies exist to alter the weather and even generate earthquakes, according to the U.S. Defense Department. Both China and Russia have been known to frequently alter their weather…

Alongside the new president was his mentor and now prime minister, Vladimir Putin, standing under bright sunshine… Twelve air force planes were [there] to ensure clear skies over Moscow with the use of cloud seeding technology. —Yahoo News, May 9th, 2008

Note that during The Time of the Two Witnesses, God’s prophetic messengers will have…

…the power to close up the sky so that no rain can fall during the time of their prophesying. They also have power to turn water into blood and to afflict the earth with any plague as often as they wish. (Rev 11:6)

What God does supernaturally, false prophets will mimic technologically or demonically in order to deceive our perceptions and understandings. Recall how the signs and wonders of Moses were countered by Pharoah’s magicians… 

STARRY DECEPTION? 

I also feel that we cannot ignore the increasing manifestation of "UFO’s". There is a belief within the New Age that the mythology of the gods and the human race was "birthed" from aliens…. aliens who will return at some point to bring us into an age of peace and harmony. One researcher estimates that there are six "sightings" somewhere in the world every hour. I agree with many other Christians that these are deceptions, but on a couple different levels. For one thing, in those who have been "abducted," there is often left behind a "residue" of after-effects which are very similar to demonic possession, including at times the smell of sulfur. 

While there appears to be a demonic element to UFO abductions, there is also evidence that governments possess far more advanced technology than many realize. The ability to produce "anti-gravity" effects has been proven, but never allowed to proliferate in the private sector. It could very well be that UFO’s are, in fact, not driven by little green men from Mars, but the product of highly advanced earth technology. This is precisely the conclusion of some who have been involved in high levels of the New Age, but have converted to Christianity. It is also the conclusion of some brilliant scientists and inventors in our time who have been silenced or eliminated when their discoveries and inventions have "gone too far." Is a coordinated "UFO invasion" possible? Yes, it’s possible… but not from aliens, rather, powerful people wielding powerful tools of manipulation.

For those involved in satanism and black magic, it is an occultic rite to inform their victims, usually in veiled messages, of what they will be doing to them. For those with power and money, it may often be done through the media in very non-implicating ways. Have the proliferation of Hollywood UFO movies where "aliens" invade or attack the earth been a subtle way of projecting a message to the public under the guise of entertainment?

Several years ago, I was having a reoccurring dream in which the stars would begin to spin… and then change into fleets of strange, droning aircraft. Some time after, in an instant, I was given to understand what this dream was, and it frightened me (moreso because I thought it was crazy!) But now that I have come to understand that such technologies exist and have been witnessed by very credible people (who said the UFO’s they saw were not aliens, but definitely man-made), it makes sense in the bigger picture. But it is still disturbing given the conditioning that we continue to see in the media for the public to accept these flying saucers as visitors from space. Can you imagine the panic…?

Considering how widespread is the world’s fascination with UFO’s, this is a deception we should keep in mind, for it may play a significant role in the larger deception that will seduce mankind. If you see UFO’s appear over your cities some day, remember what was written here.

THE SCANDAL

There is no question that the sexual abuse scandal in the Church is having and will have a tremendous impact on her credibility (read The Scandal). Given the context of all that is said here, how can we fail to see that this is also preparation for a Great Deception? That the apparent demise of the Church, and thus the muting of the voice of hope, creates the conditions for a new, but false hope? The ongoing scandal is not only a purification of the Church, but a preparation for persecution, which ultimately, will leave the Church smaller, but renewed. It may also be tilling the soil for a false religion and an anti-Church.

If there is to be a persecution, perhaps it will be then; then, perhaps, when we are all of us in all parts of Christendom so divided, and so reduced, so full of schism, so close upon heresy. When we have cast ourselves upon the world and depend for protection upon it, and have given up our independence and our strength, then he [Antichrist] burst upon us in fury as far as God allows him. Then suddenly the Roman Empire may break up, and Antichrist appear as a persecutor, and the barbarous nations around break in. —Venerable John Henry Newman, Sermon IV: The Persecution of Antichrist

DIVINE PROTECTION 

Those who have been responding to God’s grace during this present time will not have to fear. For as false prophets prepare the way for the False Messiah—the Beast or Antichrist—so too will the Spirit of God fall upon the remnant who will prepare the way for the coming of Jesus in His Spirit to live and reign in us and through the Holy Eucharist in a true era of peace and holiness.

But first must come The Seven Year Trial.

False messiahs and false prophets will arise and will perform signs and wonders in order to mislead, if that were possible, the elect. Be watchful! I have told it all to you beforehand. (Mark 13:22-23)

Some might be tempted to think that "…the so-called new age movement was just a fad, that the new age movement is dead. Then I submit it’s because the major tenants of the new age have been so firmly engrained in our popular culture, that there is no longer any need for a movement, per se." —Matthew Arnold, former new ager and Catholic convert

The global brain needs institutions with which to rule, in other words, a world government. “To deal with today’s problems New Age dreams of a spiritual aristocracy in the style of Plato’s Republic, run by secret societies…” —Jesus Christ, The Bearer of the Water of Life, n. 2.3.4.3 , Pontifical Councils for Culture and Inter-religious Dialogue

We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order. —David Rockefeller, a prominent member of secret societies including the Illuminati, the Skull and Bones, and The Bilderberg Group
